Get Cycling : Cycle skills training for all ages & abilities

Whatever your age or ability, we can help you to get cycling. Whether you’re a new cyclist learning to ride for the first time, or a regular rider looking to improve your skills, Pedal Power can help you on your journey.

Your training can be tailor-made to match your goals, progressing at your own pace.  Cycles can be provided, from two wheelers to adapted cycles and trikes, or you may use your own. Our instructors are all qualified to deliver National Standard & Bikeability cycle training.

If you have a disability, we recommend you come for an assessment to enable us to match you to the most suitable bike or trike and accessories.  Find out how to book an assessment.

Basic Cycling Skills

Build confidence in your control skills with coaching from your instructor. Learn to ride one-handed to signal, look behind you without wobbling, use your gears efficiently, and be able to stop quickly. Sessions will be off-road whilst you develop these skills, and can progress to quiet roads when you are ready (if road journeys are your aim). You must be able to ride unaided.
