Better by Bike - free Learn to Ride & Confidence Building sessions
Meet Caroline and Alice - the Cycling Officers who are running our new National Lottery funded ‘Better By Bike’ (BBB) initiative.
Working with referrals from local organisations, BBB aims to help to tackle the cost-of-living crisis by giving at least 6 free Learn to Ride and Confidence Building sessions for adults on low incomes and/or who are struggling with the cost of Public Transport to get around Cardiff. Following the sessions, individuals will have the opportunity to purchase a low-cost, refurbished bike from us (including helmet, lock) - so they're all ready with the skills and kit to cycle confidently!
1-hour sessions run on Thursdays and Fridays from Pedal Power HQ in Cardiff Caravan Park. Want to know more? If you're an individual or from a local organisation, contact Alice and Caroline at betterbybike@cardiffpedalpower.org.uk

Working on this project is so rewarding, particularly now that we're starting to see people really benefiting from it. We're enjoying working with a wide range of people with different needs and circumstances, and giving them the skills, confidence and means to cycle independently.
