Supported Volunteers

We can offer people who need additional support a 12-week Supported Volunteering placement. During that time the person will work with Jenny Dowell, our Supporting Volunteers officer.

Pictured on the right is Lisa Thompson who was the second person to complete the 12 week Supported Volunteering placement. She will be carrying on volunteering independently in the café and kitchen with ongoing support from fellow volunteer Joyce in the café and Future Jobs Fund worker Becky in the kitchen. During the 12 weeks Lisa has not only learnt the basic cleaning tasks involved but also how to use the espresso coffee machine and the computer till system.

This programme has been so successful we now have a waiting list.
