Vintage & Craft Fairs

Are you a fan of vintage, retro or kitsch items? Do you have an appreciation for unique, handmade creations? Do you enjoy gently browsing with friends ?

Come along to the Scout Hut in Pontcanna on June 29 from 11am to 4pm. We ask for a donation of £1 on entry.

We have been running vintage and craft fairs for a year and they are very successful. Our stall-holders have always been happy with their sales during a fair. If you wish to enquire about a stall then please email Sybil Williams or ring on 029 20390713 and talk to her. We are now taking bookings for the next fair on 20/06/2013 from 11am to 4pm

Following the success of the recent Fairs this Fair will also be held in the Scout Base in the Pontcanna Fields car park off Fields Park Road. This will enable us to hold the Fair completely under cover. There will be light refreshments available on site and if you fancy a bike ride you can collect a voucher for a half price bike ride on the day. Our headquarters is just a short walk from the Scout Base.

We hold them every quarter and they are becoming "must do" events. Once again we’ll be bringing you a fantastic selection of over twenty stall-holders, show-casing the very best in vintage and unique handmade items including:

Jewellery and accessories
Men and women’s fashion
Textiles, bedding and cushions
Homeware, kitchenware, ceramics and glass
Arts and crafts
Books, greetings cards and gifts
Curiosities
Welsh produce

When you're ready to take the weight off your feet, pop in to our pop-up Pedal Power Cafe and enjoy a refreshing beverage (hot or cold) with a sandwich and a slice of delicious home-made cake. All the proceeds raised from this event will go directly to help the charity Pedal Power, who work to make cycling accessible for all. Donations are extremely welcome

At Christmas we have a Santa's grotto with presents for the children. There is an entry fee for the grotto.

Location

By car: From Cathedral Road, turn onto Fields Park Road. Take the third right into Pontcanna Fields car park, where you will find ample parking right next to the Scout Base

On foot the Scoutbase is adjacent to the Avenue running between Western Avenue and the cricket Ground or from Fields Park Road as described above

To visit our hire centre, go to the avenue behind the Scout Base and turn right following the brown Pedal Power / Cycle Hire signs. Pedal Power is approximately 500m further down towards the SWALEC Stadium, on your right. If you get lost, please call us on 029 20390713 and we'll guide you in.
