New Opening Hours at the Bay

Annual Sponsored Ride

This will now be held on Saturday 15 September 2012. If you have already registered in the expectation of doing the ride on the original date and cannot manage the new date please contact us for a refund of your registration fee.

There are three rides available which are listed below.

Brecon to Pedal Power Headquarters

This is a 52 mile ride climbing to over 1600 feet in the first 15 miles or so but after that it's pretty much downhill all the way! You and your bike will be ferried to Brecon early on Saturday morning. It is not a race, you can ride at your own pace; the ride will be led by at least two experienced riders and there will be a support vehicle.

You may fund raise and ride as a team but each person needs to be registered, which costs £20 per person, and you will need to raise at least £50 per person in sponsorship. However, you may choose to offset the registration fee against £20 from your sponsorship money.

Pontcanna Tongwynlais Circular

This a ride of 12 miles and is ideal for families. The ride leaves in the early afternoon, heading north on the Taff Trail with Marshals at key points along the route. Riders will set off in groups of 12 or so each with an experienced rider at the front and back of the group. The ride will take between an 75 and 90mins (an average speed of 8 to 10 mph).

All riders need to be registered, which costs £10 per person or £20 for a family. An individual entrant must raise a minimum of £15 in sponsorship and a family must raise a minimum of £50.

Around Bute Park

This is suitable for disabled riders and others with a restricted range. You can make the rides as long or as short as you like.

Again all riders must be registered. Costs and minimum sponsorship are as for the Tongwynlais Ride.
