Birdwatching Events

Help support Pedal Power Project and learn about the birds of Bute Park by joining us for a number of events arranged by Jenny Dowell, our volunteer support officer, who is a keen bird-watcher.

Introduction to the Identification of Bute Park Birds

Tuesday 20/05/2012, 18:00-21:00

An indoor meeting to look at the basics of bird identification focussing on the birds that may be seen in Bute Park.

Bird-watching Walk around Pontcanna Fields & Bute Park

Saturday 09/06/2012 09:00-12:30

With woodland, park & river habitats there is a good range of species to be seen. Put into practice what you learnt at the indoor meeting or start here.

Followed by a light lunch of soup & sandwich at our own Spokes Café.

Booking is essential for both events. These are fundraising events for ‘Friends of Pedal Power Project’ and we ask for a donation of £5 pp for the indoor meeting, £10pp for the bird-watching walk (including lunch) or £12pp for both events.
