VAT Exemption

We must be registered for VAT because our revenue exceeded £70000 in the last tax year. However, it is possible for a cyclist to be exempt from VAT if he our she rides a cycle that is marketed specifically for disabled people and the person (or the person with power of attorney) has signed a VAT exemption form.

In practice this means that a person who rides a conventional bike or even a trike that is marketed to the general public (such as the Pashley Tri-1 or the Mission trikes) cannot be exempted.

If you or person you have power of attorney for qualifies for exemption than please download the form, print it off, complete it, sign and date and return it to Pedal Power. Until we have a correctly completed form we will have to charge the VAT-rated price.
