Welcome to Pedal Power Cafe (formerly Spokes Cafe), now under new management, which is to say now under the care and enthusiasm of a team of rather special volunteers, offering you rest and refreshment during your visit to Pedal Power HQ.

Whether you have been cycling the Taff Trail, strolling through the parkland or just want to enjoy a moment to yourself, Pedal Power Cafe has just what you need.

The newly revamped menu includes tasty meat and vegetarian dishes and has an increasing range of vegan options. The favourites are the homemade soups, salads and sandwiches, the now legendary Cyclist’s Breakfast (veggie option available of course), scrumptious homemade cakes (we always aim to have a vegan cake option) and a Specials Board where recent past triumphs, such as vegetable tagine, beef lasagne and toad-in-the-hole with onion gravy, have inspired customers to leave many favourable comments shown in the sidebar.

We are working towards all Fair Trade products and our ingredients are sourced locally where possible. Eggs are free-range and a selection of soft drinks and fresh Fair Trade coffee and hot chocolate is available. A visit to our friendly and welcoming cafe is a delicious and nutritious addition to the Pedal Power experience.

Monday – Friday 10 to 5.00
Saturday – 9 to 2.00
Sunday – open some Sundays, phone in advance to check

A New Venture

We are now home to the Pedal Power Singers! Please join us - an open singing group, no auditions, everybody welcomed. 6.30pm - 8pm every Monday. We aim to get together, have fun and raise our spirits by raising our voices!
